Leaning into the Mystery : From Trusting to Certainty.

Updated: Apr 26

There was a time when everything flowed for me—effortlessly, expansively. Those were my dynamic years in corporate life: creating, producing, executing at lightning speed. I was in rhythm with the system, moving fluidly across industries. The creative force within me was undeniable. I was fierce, focused, and unstoppable—or so I thought. Then the current stopped. Burnout arrived like a tidal wave.

My body, mind, and spirit collapsed in unison, bringing everything to a halt. I walked away from that world—not because I had a plan, but because I could no longer perform in the corporate arena. The life I had built no longer nourished me. There was no map: just me and a compass in hand with the pulse of Mother Earth beneath my feet. Curiosity became my only currency in a reality that no longer fit.

I’ve always been someone who feels deeply. The texture of a glance. The silence between words. The invisible design of synchronicity. I moved through life attuned to the subtle, following the flow wherever it led—until the flow dried up, ending things abruptly, again and again. Back then, my mind moved like a seasoned strategist, always ten steps ahead. When the flow began to dwindle, I didn’t pause to listen. I pushed harder. I forged the current, manipulating life into submission through sheer willpower. The ego had enjoyed a long, unchallenged reign, stationed confidently at the control center, convinced it could sustain the momentum forever. My heart, meanwhile, remained quietly tender beneath its weight, longing to be heard, but too gentle to compete with the command of the intellect.

This is the story of how I left that world of control. How I leaned into the Mystery. How trust, once a foreign tongue, became the melody of my dance with the Unseen—ultimately guiding me into a life of Certainty.

As my beloved Native American Elder, Hereditary Chief Phil Lane Jr., always says, “The longest journey you will ever take is from the mind to the heart.” My own journey was not a gentle one. It was lined with jagged moments and divine interruptions. It was in the breaking that I was opened. It was in the unraveling that I began to hear the sacred rhythm beneath the noise. The first lessons in trust came disguised as surrender—letting go of clarity, releasing the grip of control, abandoning the illusion that I could figure it all out if I just tried harder.

“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakens.” ~Carl Jung.

Trust didn’t arrive like a grand revelation. It came in slow, quiet waves. In tiny initiations. In moments where I let life take the lead and allowed myself to be held by the Unknown.

I learned to trust the pauses. To trust the delays. To trust the mysterious timing of the Universe, even when everything felt like it was coming undone. Because behind every falling, I discovered, was a flight I hadn’t yet imagined.

Life is not a linear teacher. It doesn’t offer roadmaps or guarantees. Spirit speaks in spirals, symbols, songs, and whispers. It speaks in dreams and déjà vu, in sudden gusts of wind, in chance encounters of repeated signs. Trusting Life required me to unlearn what I thought I knew about achievement. To stop measuring my worth by productivity. To stop assigning meaning only to what could be seen or explained. There were seasons when nothing happened. No breakthroughs. No fireworks. Just me, the silence, and the wonder of not knowing. But that stillness wasn’t empty; it was an energetic incubation—chrysalis of Becoming.

I came to understand that trust isn’t passive. It’s an active, devotional state of presence. It’s the bravery to stay open when you’d rather be on guard—the courage to be led, to be surprised, to be changed.

One of the most transformative mirrors for trust came through love. A love that cracks you open, shattering walls you didn’t even know were there. Real, genuine, soul-deep love doesn’t just soothe or nourish; it initiates. It reveals your inner child and calls forth your highest self, all in the same breath. It sees through the armour and meets you in your most tender places, not to fix you, but to hold you exactly as you are, while still calling you into who you’re becoming. This kind of love doesn’t ask you to shrink, perform, or perfect. It invites you to rise—not through pressure, but through presence. It inspires growth without demand. In its reflection, you see not only your wounds, but your new frontier of greatness. It’s not a love that rescues, but reminds you that you’ve always had wings. It speaks to the part of you that remembers why you came here—the guiding light within, waiting to be tended, waiting to rise.

To be loved in this way is to be trusted with truth. It’s to be witnessed in your most raw expression and still feel worthy of devotion. And in that space, trust becomes more than a choice—it becomes a way of being. Because when love is this true, this spacious, this reverent… you can’t help but Rise. Through sacred bonding, I learned that trust isn’t about waiting for someone else to prove their worth. It’s about trusting my own knowing—honouring what I feel, even when it defies logic. When a connection carries the imprint of the sacred, it asks for a different kind of trust. One not rooted in outcomes or expectations, but in presence. In deep listening. In energetic resonance. In a love vast enough to hold True Becoming.

In love, I discovered that trust builds the bridge… but Certainty builds the sanctuary. Eventually, trust planted itself so deeply within me that it began to change form. It no longer felt like embracing—it felt like being. That’s when it became Certainty. Not the rigid certainty of ego, but the soft, fluid certainty of the soul. I began to know things—not intellectually, but spiritually. I knew when to rest. When to leap. When to walk away. When the Universe was saying “yes” through repeating signs, echoed phrases, and uncanny synchronicities.

This kind of Certainty isn’t loud—it doesn’t need to convince. It is rooted. Subtle. Unshakable. It’s the quiet knowing that the divine forces are walking beside you.

Certainty is when you stop asking for signs, because you’ve become the sign. You enter a room, and the energy shifts. You speak, and your words carry medicine. You act, and life responds in miraculous ways. You choose, and the unseen rises to meet you.

You no longer ask, “Can I trust this?” You say, "This feels True to me. So I follow it.”

Because the truth, the soul-deep kind, doesn’t come from external validation or surface logic. It isn’t found in consensus or checklists. It lives in the resonance that hums through the inner chambers of your being. It’s the stillness that settles when something is aligned. The soft disarming that comes from recognition. Soul truth doesn’t shout—it pulses. It returns again and again until you can no longer deny it. And when you finally honour it, you’re no longer reacting to life… you’re responding from the essence of who you are.

To dance with the Great Mystery is to move in rhythm with the unseen. To follow the beat only your heart can hear. To become a living vessel for the Infinite. It means letting joy guide you. Letting grief carve you deeper. Letting Spirit lead, even when the path looks nothing like the plan. It means allowing your curiosity to melt the resistance and open you to new possibilities, trusting that what lies beyond is greater than anything the mind could ever script. When I say I’ve moved from Trusting to Certainty, I don’t mean I’ve transcended doubt or bypassed hesitation. I mean that beneath it all, I know I am held. I trust the path will rise to meet me, that even the detours are divine.

And so, I dance.

Sometimes slowly, in stillness.

Sometimes wildly, in ecstasy.

Sometimes through the ache, with tears in my eyes.

But always… with Spirit.

If you are standing at the edge of the Unknown—longing for clarity, grappling with uncertainty, and wondering if trust is enough—let me say this:

You are not lost. You are already being led. The fact that you are here, breathing with curiosity and longing, means the dance has already begun. Let yourself be led. Let yourself be surprised. Let yourself be wrong, and redirected, and reborn. Because one day, trust will become the ground beneath your feet. And from that foundation, you will rise. Not in question—but in Certainty. Not because you figured it all out…But because you finally let go, and allowed Life to lead you into the becoming your soul has always dreamed of.

May you let Life remind you of the quiet certainties that are always visible—The sun that rises without fail. The breath that returns again and again. The earth that holds you even when you’ve lost your way. May you feel the subtle affirmations in the kindness that greets you unexpectedly, in a song that finds you at just the right moment, in the hush between heartbeats that says: You are exactly where you’re meant to be. Your soul knows. Feel it in the moments that move you. And may these daily wonders awaken a trust that becomes your compass—And a certainty that becomes your home.

Lean into the Mystery.

Let it hold you. Let it guide you.

Let it reveal who you’re meant to be—

and all you are still Becoming.
